Professor Leon Adams

Professor Leon Adams is a  gastroenterologist and hepatologist. He is a local graduate who underwent gastroenterology training in Perth before undertaking a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, United States and completing a PhD at The University of Western Australia (UWA). His interests include non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and liver fibrosis. He is a prolific researcher having published over 200 peer reviewed papers and has a has a h-index of 61 with more than 22,300 citations. Professor Adams has acquired numerous awards and grants and has served on various editorial boards including Hepatology, the Journal of Hepatology, Hepatology Communications, and Liver International.
