Stroke patient tells of extraordinary fight to survive, as major study unveiled

Ms Jessica Nolan, Physiotherapy coordinator at Osborne Park Hospital recently commenced a 2020 Clinician Research Fellowship (supported by the Raine Foundation and the WA Department of Health), aiming to improve outcomes for people with lateropulsion following stroke. Lateropulsion is an impairment of postural control associated with stroke, whereby a person affected experiences a pushing sensation to one side. Ms Nolan’s research will provide an important contribution to understanding best practice rehabilitation outcomes for stroke survivors.
