Professor Jeff Hamdorf

Professor Jeffrey Hamdorf is an Academic Surgeon (Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric) based at The University of Western Australia (UWA) and the Hollywood Private Hospital. He was the inaugural Professor of Medical Education at UWA and is currently Professor of Surgical Education and Director of CTEC, a world-class skills training centre. Over an extended period, he has been influential in teaching and learning, curriculum development, summative assessment and student progress. He was awarded Member of the Order of Australia in 2019 for services to medical education and surgery, particularly in the area of bariatric surgery.
